Purple Martin Scout Report Is
your Purple Martin Birdhouse new?
If you have never had Purple Martins in your yard before, Scouts are not likely to be the ones that will move into your yard. Purple Martin Scouts are the first Martins to arrive in an area BUT they head straight for the same place they called home last year. A brand new Purple Martin bird house needs to attract Purple Martins that were born last year. These Martins start arriving 3-4 weeks AFTER the Scouts. My Scout Report tells you when last year's Purple Martins have been spotted. This is the best time to open the Purple Martin Birdhouse you just built!
